Game Design
I started designing physical and digital games in 2020, as my degree studies helped me develop my design thinking skills.
Let's Talk About That
I designed "Let's Talk About That" adding a thematic twist to the popular children game "Happy Salmon". This original thematic approach allows for my game to appeal to an adult audience while preserving the minimal mechanics that make "Happy Salmon" so easy and fast to play. I designed this game individually
Gem Slam
"Gem Slam" is an original, tabletop game, combining twitch skills and a graphically articulate theme in a fast and engaging experience for children aged 6-9.
This game was produced by a multidisciplinary group of 4. My main responsibility was designing the logo, the gems, and the box art.
Gotta Get There
This is an original tabletop RPG reflecting on the theme of intersectionality.
I developed this game individually.
Athens Fall
This is a tabletop RPG set in ancient Athens, in no precise historical time. I designed the world, mechanics, characters, and graphics for this game. There are some historically inaccurate components to all the characters. They do not resemble their homonymous historically-known counterparts, except from some basic traits. The characters’ backgrounds and main features are anew and original.
Escape Room: Operation Circus
This project was developed and launched on the Illinois Institute of Technology campus in the summer of 2021. My role was to define the brand identity and create advertising material for print and web to market the experience to the university community and people from the broader Chicago area.
This Is All: *yourname*
This game is based on the homonymous book "This Is All" by the young-adult novelist Aidan Chambers. "This Is All: *yourname*" is a solo journaling RPG based on the "This Is All" IP, preserving the intimate diary form of the book while creating an experience that puts the player at the core, with prompts inspired by the book to help them write their own stories.
Golden Mart
I assisted in the production of "Golden Mart", a single-player tabletop role-playing game set in a neighborhood convenience store. This game was funded through kickstarter and consequently sold and shipped worldwide.
Escapely Chicago
I was a production assistant for Escapely, an L.A. based escape room company, looking to design a new experience in the Chicago area. My role was to scout for locations and propose puzzle ideas. After an initial brainstorming session with the game designers at Escapely, I went on the field to discuss the plan with owners of restaurants, shops, and other venues included in the Chicago escape room potential map.
